3rd Annual Super Drew Family Extravaganza
Dear Potential Sponsors and Supporters,
Meet Super Drew, our 5.5 year-old little boy, who is full of life, always happy, and one of the strongest and most resilient kids you will meet. Underneath his contagious smile and gentle demeanor is a child with Pilomyxoid Astrocytoma, an inoperable brain tumor. Drew has been battling this tumor since 9 months old and has been on multiple treatments. Almost a year ago we were able to stop treatment and give our little boy some life as his tumor showed stability. However, we were devastated to find out the tumor had significantly grew about 10 weeks ago and we immediately had to restart treatment. Throughout Drew’s ups and downs there is something he always shows us, his bravery, resilience and his contagious smile. You can catch him humming songs all over the house and even when he doesn’t feel good he shows us all so much love.
The mission of the Super Drew Foundation is to provide families battling pediatric cancer with services and local experiences that allow families to feel normal in an abnormal situation. In addition, we are able to help local charities provide opportunities for these children. The past year we were able to provide children birthday parties, adopt 11 families for the Holiday season, and grant 2 oncology patients’ wish trips. Our goals for this year include adopting more families for the holidays, expanding our birthday wishes, and granting more wish trips.
The 3rd Annual Super Drew Family Extravaganza will be held September 18, 2022 from 12-4 p.m. at St. Lawrence K of C Park in Shelby Township. It will be a day filled with fun, laughter, entertainment, food, and activities for the whole family.
